I’m A Canadian Reader Who Loves Talking About Books!
I’m a book lover. I grew up in a family of readers, and have been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. I would read any book I could get my hands on.
I read a lot of mysteries, thrillers, fantasy, and horror, but dip my toes into contemporary and literary fiction too.
I love the possibilities that a new book holds. It could be a new favourite. It could be exciting, thrilling, funny, sad…there is a world in those pages, just waiting for me to be part of it!
In fall 2010, I asked my web-designer husband to help me set up a site where I could post my thoughts about the books I’m currently reading, want to read, or have recently read. I’ve been blogging at this site since late 2010, but I was very shy for the first couple of years of this site’s existence. Over time, I’ve reached out and met other bloggers and attended amazing events like BEA. I’ve met some great people and have loved getting more involved in the book community!
When I’m not reading and have to live in the real world, I like to spend time with my husband and our cat and watch scary movies, play Nintendo games, and look for more books!
My favourite TV shows are Supernatural and Coronation Street; my favourite bands are Idlewild and BTS; my favourite author is Victoria Schwab; and my favourite activity is reading. That’s pretty much all you need to know about me!
