Just One Reader's Opinion!

A to Z Survey

Surveys are fun! This is something Jamie at The Perpetual Page-Turner posted on Friday, and since I love surveys and questionnaires, I wanted to share my own!

A to Z Survey

Author you’ve read the most books from:

Sara Shepard, by a landslide! I’ve read all of the Pretty Little Liars books + novellas, and all of The Lying Game series and one of the novellas.

Best sequel ever:

Wow since I can’t choose…toss up between Fire with Fire (Burn for Burn sequel by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian) and The Dream Thieves (sequel to The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater).

Currently reading:

Reboot by Amy Tintera, and Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas.

Drink of choice while reading:

Ooh, depends on when I’m reading. Coffee (Starbucks for a treat) in the morning, Diet Coke any other time.

E-reader or physical book?

I love my Kobo e-reader for its portability, but lately I’ve been buying more physical books because they look so darn nice. It’s a toss up I guess!

Fictional character you probably would have actually dated in high school:

Hmm. Maybe Etienne from Anna and the French Kiss.

Glad you gave this book a chance:

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand. I really love this series, and for whatever reason I didn’t think it would be my kind of book so put off reading it for way too long.

Hidden gem book:

Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway.

Important moment in your reading life:

Starting this blog back in 2010. I discovered so many books via the blogging world that I may not have otherwise heard about and read. And of course, I’ve met some super awesome people through blogging!

Just finished:

Wild Awake by Hilary T. Smith.

Kinds of books you won’t read:

Like Jamie mentioned, I don’t think I’ll ever read any erotica. I also tend to stay away from romance novels.

Longest book you’ve read:

House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski, at 709 pages.

Major book hangover because of:

Just One Day by Gayle Forman.

Number of bookcases you own:

Only two. One big, one small.

One book you have read multiple times:

The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle. My ultimate favourite book.

Preferred place to read:

I love reading in bed, but it’s way too easy for me to fall asleep. If I’m planning to read for a while, my favourite spot is curled up on my couch!

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

“He thought, or said, or sang, I did not know that I was so empty, to be so full.”- From The Last Unicorn. Perhaps my favourite quote ever.

Reading regret:

Other than never having enough time in my life to read all the books I want to read, I can’t think of anything.

Series you started and need to finish (all books are out in series):

Holly Black’s Curse Worker series (I don’t know if there are going to be any more books). I just bought the first one!

Three of your all-time favorite books:

The Last Unicorn; The Raven Boys; and J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.

Unapologetic fan-girl for:

Anything The Raven Boys-related.

Very excited for this release more than all the others:

Michelle Hodkin’s The Retribution of Mara Dyer! I can’t wait to read this!

Worst bookish habit:

Getting like 15 books out from the library all at once, knowing I won’t have time to read them all before they’re due back!

X marks the spot: start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:

Winger by Andrew Smith!

Your latest book purchase:

Holly Black’s White Cat.

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

Fire with Fire!! I could not put that book down!

    1. Thank you for stopping by! Diet Coke is always my drink of choice!

The PLL books and show are quite different from each other – I hope you like the books! And Burn for Burn, and its sequel Fire with Fire, are amazing!
